Site Operations Assistant Seasonal, April – October 31. Provide full range of historic site operations support for education and interpretation department, assuring smooth functioning of the interpretive component of the site daily. Scheduling the interpretive staff and interpretation volunteers, assuring that appropriate resources and materials are available for programming, and assisting on special events. All applicants must have strong organizational and administrative skills, attention to detail, be results-oriented, friendly, enjoy working with the public, have excellent customer service skills and be a team player. Bookkeeper – Part-time Hancock Shaker Village is currently seeking a part-time, year round Bookkeeper. Responsibilities include A/P, A/R, payroll and payroll taxes, journal entries, bank reconciliations and assisting with preparing financial statement. Knowledge and hands on experience with QuickBooks Pro, word, excel and outlook. 2 - 5years experience in general accounting. Ability to multi-task, have a high attention to detail and be very organized. Excellent communication skills are also a necessity. Farm/Garden Staff - Agricultural experience a plus, hands on livestock and garden care skills. Present and interpret the farm and gardens for our adult and children visitors.
Interpreters –Bring the Shaker story to life. Present educational and interpretive programming for diverse museum audience. Visitor Service Staff- Combined museum store/admissions sales points, high energy atmosphere, computer and retail experience needed. E-commerce experiences a plus.

Museum Internships
Hancock Shaker Village is always looking for interns! Would you like to transcribe an original manuscript? How about learning how to care for and catalogue artifacts? Or perhaps you would like to work with children in our hands-on Discovery Room?
