The Village provides a variety of amenities to make your visit enjoyable. The Village Harvest Cafe is open mid-April through mid-October serving continental breakfast, lunch, and take-out picnics. A Picnic Area is also available.
The Museum Store - open daily, year round - offers a variety of Shaker reproduction furniture and crafts, books, toys and more. It also carries film, disposable cameras, and postcards! The Museum Store is your one-stop location for unique corporate gifts. Our creative and helpful staff can help you select items to fill a Shaker box or basket, package it up safely, and ship to anywhere in the continental United States. To welcome our foreign visitors, walking tour maps and an orientation video are available in French, German, Japanese and Spanish.Our audio tour, included with general admission, is available in English, German, French and Italian.
Hancock Shaker Village strives to make the Village as accessible as possible while maintaining the site's historic integrity. Many historic buildings and the Visitor Center (which includes restrooms, exhibition galleries, Museum Store and The Florence Gould Café) are wheelchair accessible. Compacted dirt pathways and wooden boardwalks throughout the Village provide access through the gardens. Wheelchairs are available; advance reservation is advised. An orientation video is captioned in English for the hearing impaired and a Braille version of the walking tour map is available. An English script is available for all videos shown in the Village.
